For many of us, our favourite caps are often a fixture on our heads, soaking up sweat and grime as we exercise or just generally go about our business.
Have you ever pondered actually washing the item of head wear and, if so, how you might do that?

Ken Long has explained, in a now-viral video, that the safest way to wash your caps is by putting them in the dishwasher.
He says if your hats are stained, you should use some pre-wash stain remover then place them on “the top rack” of the machine.
“Use dishwashing detergent, turn on the coldest and shortest setting,” he said.
“Make sure you turn off the heat and dry setting as that (keeping those on) will shrink your caps,” the cleaning expert warned.
Once your dishwasher has completed its cycle, Ken said to remove your caps and “place them on a drying rack overnight”.
His video has received more than 12 million views but people in the comments were divided.
“What’s wrong with a washing machine?” asked a confused commenter.
“So the dishes can go in the bathtub now, right?” joked another.
“That’s crazy,” said a third.
However, others agreed with Ken and praised his washing hack.
“I agree with using the dishwasher, I’ve been cleaning my boys’ hats like this for years,” said one.
“Wow, amazing,” added another.
“Thanks so much for sharing,” said a third.
