A Glenorchy pedestrian was seriously injured while crossing a busy highway in Hobart’s northern suburbs on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old man was hit by a vehicle on Brooker Hwy at Derwent Park about 3.10pm.
He had tried to cross the highway “in heavy traffic conditions” south of the traffic lights at the intersection of Brooker Hwy and Derwent Park Rd, Tasmania Police said.
The driver of the car involved was taken to Royal Hobart Hospital for mandatory testing,
