Ryobi Airwave 2 in 1 C1 Brad Nailer/Stapler recalled due to defect which could cause tool to discharge unintentionally

A recall alert has been issued for a tool sold at Bunnings due to potential injury injury concerns resulting from a defect.

The Ryobi Airwave 2 in 1 C1 Brad Nailer/Stapler was recalled by Product Safety Australia (PSA) on Thursday.

The tool was sold nationally at Bunnings stores from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2024.

According to PSA, the tool’s safety device can get stuck and allow a nail or staple to discharge unintentionally, posing a “risk of laceration injuries”.

“Consumers should stop using the product immediately,” it said.

Those who own the tool should return the product to a Bunnings store for a full refund.
