Six people have been injured when a truck and bus crashed near the intersection of a busy Sydney road.

Six people have been injured when a truck and bus crashed at the intersection of a busy Sydney road.

The vehicles collided at the intersection of Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway and Davis Rd at Wetherill Park in Western Sydney about 5pm Friday.

NSW Ambulance said three crews of paramedics were treating and assessing six patients from both vehicles.

At least one patient has suffered serious leg injuries.

The front of the truck was badly damaged, with the windscreen and roof of the driver’s cab crushed in, while the rear passenger door of the bus was smashed in.

Emergency services and traffic crews remain on site.

Traffic is impacted in both directions and motorists are advised to be cautious in the area.

Investigations are underway.
