Woman dies in hospital weeks after car crash in Bentley, Perth

A passenger in a car that collided with another vehicle in the Perth suburb of Bentley has died in hospital more than three weeks after the crash.

A white MG3 hatchback and a silver Toyota Camry sedan collided at the intersection of Manning and Bungaree roads about 9.40am on April 18.

An 81-year-old female passenger in the Toyota was taken to hospital at the time. She was discharged, but had to be re-admitted on May 2.

“Sadly she subsequently died on Sunday (May 12),” WA Police said in a statement.

Major Crash officers are investigating the fatal crash and have appealed for witnesses and motorists with dash-cam footage to come forward to authorities.

Sixty-seven people have been killed on WA roads in the year to date, the highest level since 2018.
